Full cooking instructions will be with your Turkey Crown however it’s very easy to cook – defrost for at least 24 hours before cooking to make sure the Turkey is fully defrosted. Remove Turkey from fridge 30 mins prior to cooking. Pre-heat your oven to 180c, remove all packaging from the turkey, season with salt & pepper and oven bake. We recommend 15 mins, with a further 15 mins per pound. So a 4.4lb (2kg) Turkey would be 15 mins plus app. 70 mins. A 2.2lbs (1kg) would be 15 mins plus 35 mins. You want the Turkey to brown nicely, you can baste with butter or add bacon rashers. You may need to add foil if the Turkey is going too brown.
Check the centre of the Crown, the juices should be clear and the meat white and hot in the centre. If the Crown is not quite done add 5- 7 mins and check again, repeat until cooked through. Once cooked cover with foil and rest for at least 10 mins or until you are ready to carve.Â
