From the bays of New Zealand, our Green lipped Mussels are farmed on raised beds & filter fed to so no grit or sand is found after harvest. Farming Mussles is recommended by the Good Fish Guide so we can get stocks back to a sustainable level. We prepare the Mussles on the half shell for your convenience so you won't be left with any mussels that don't open.

For best results cook from frozen, pre-heat your oven and bake in an oven proof dish for 15 minutes or steam for 8-10 minutes.

Our favourite is: add onion (one small) and garlic (3 cloves) to heated olive oil in a large pan, cook until softened and add white wine (150ml), turn up the heat, when its bubbling add the mussels (1kg) add some fresh thyme, turn the heat back to low, add a tight lid to the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes, add some double cream (same amount as the wine you use) and cook for another minute. Scatter chopped herbs like parsley and serve with crusty bread. Delicious. This recipe serves two.
