FAQs

Does my food order arrive fresh or frozen? 

Your food order will arrive frozen. We pack our quality frozen foods in bags or boxes, then we pack the bags/boxes in an insulated box containing dry ice. This keeps the contents of the box below minus 18 degC for 24 - 36 hours.


If I order today when will my order arrive?

We deliver Tuesday - Friday. If you place your order before 1pm Monday - Thursday your package will be delivered the next day before 1pm. Orders placed after 1pm will be despatched the next day for delivery the day after that. Eg order Tuesday before 1pm delivery Wednesday. order Tuesday after 1pm delivery Thursday.  All orders place after 1pm on Friday and over the weekend will be treated as if ordered on Monday before 1pm.


What if I’m out when the parcel is delivered? 

Don’t worry. There’s no need to wait in for your delivery. We can leave it with a neighbour on in a safe place designated by you. Just leave your instructions in the box provided when placing your order.


How does my food stay frozen during transportation? 

We keep the food frozen by packing our frozen foods in bags or boxes, then packing the bags/boxes into an insulated box containing dry ice. Dry ice has a temperature of minus 78 deg centigrade. We calculate the amount of dry ice needed for the parcel and the weather conditions.  This keeps the contents of the box below minus 18 deg C for 24 - 36 hours.


Can I have my order delivered at a specified time? 

Our chosen courier is Parcelforce. As with all couriers; the more specific the time of delivery the more it costs. To ensure that we have the most cost-effective with a window of time we have arranged for “next day am delivery” . Parcels can be delivered between 7am - 1pm. If you provide us with your mobile number and/or email address we can arrange for Parcelforce to text or email you with an expected time of delivery.


Can I choose my delivery day? 

Yes, you can tell us your preferred day of delivery. We can’t deliver on Mondays. We can arrange a delivery for Saturday but there is a surcharge of £15.00 for this service. 


Can I cook your products from frozen?

In most cases, our food can be cooked from frozen. All the products come with cooking instructions and recommended methods of cooking.


I suffer from allergic reactions to certain foods. How can I check to make sure they’re not present in your products?

All our products have a list of ingredients on the labels. Should you have any concerns before or after your purchase you can call us on 0845 60 154 60 where one of our team will be happy to assist.


Where is your fish sourced from?

We have a wide variety of fish so we source from all over the world. We make sure we buy from responsible sources with sustainability in mind. For that reason, we have a variety of wild-caught and farmed fish. You will find this information on the labels but should you wish to know more just call us on 0845 60 154 60.


Can I buy fresh fish from you as opposed to frozen?

We believe that our “frozen” fish is the freshest fish you can buy. In many cases, our fish is frozen within hours of the catch. “Fresh” fish sold on a counter can be several days old by the time it reaches the consumer. For this reason, all our products are frozen.  * We have many customers who buy our 'frozen at sea' fish because they suffer from Histamine intolerance. Sufferers need to eat food at it’s freshest as Histamine develops in food from the time it has been harvested. *


Can I arrange a delivery to a different address?

Yes, you can. As long as your billing address matches the address of your credit card you can arrange to have the food delivered anywhere in the UK mainland. 


I live in the UK but not on the mainland, can I still get a delivery.
In most cases, the answer is yes. However, there may be an extra cost from the couriers and extra dry ice as there may be a 2 day delivery time. Please give us a call on 0845 60 154 60           to find out about your particular case.


Is there an incentive for recommending a friend?

Yes there is. We believe that the best way to build our reputation is by word of mouth. Recommend a friend and you both save. You’ll find details inside your parcel.


Do you sell frozen vegetables?

No. We concentrate our efforts on sourcing the highest quality fish, shellfish and meats. 


Does your use of dry ice put extra carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere?

No. Dry Ice is solid Carbon Dioxide but this has been captured from natural sources preventing the CO2 from entering the atmosphere in the first instance. So although the CO2 does eventually enter the atmosphere it isn’t extra, it’s just delayed.
