Does my food order arrive fresh or frozen?
Your order will arrive frozen. When we send your order we add dry ice slices or specialised gel packs, they keep your order frozen and around -21c – We pack your order ready for you to transfer straight to your freezer on arrival.
Is the fish in individual portions – so I can just take one portion as I need it?
Yes, all of our products are IQF – Individually Quick Frozen, so you can just take one portion out at a time. We don’t send anything frozen in bulk, everything is in individual portions. An example: A pack of 4 Cod Loins is 4 individual Cod Loins. Some products are vacuum packed too.
If I order today when will my order arrive?
We deliver Tuesday – Friday. If you place your order before 1pm Monday – Thursday your order will be delivered the next day (unless stated otherwise). We always show the next delivery day at the top of each product page but generally orders placed after 1pm will be despatched the next day for delivery the day after that…
– Order Tuesday before 1pm delivery is Wednesday
– Order Tuesday after 1pm delivery Thursday
All orders placed after 1pm on Thursday, Friday or over the weekend will be sent out on Monday for delivery Tuesday unless you opt for Saturday delivery.
What if I’m out when my parcel is delivered?
There’s no need to wait in for your delivery ( unless you are histamine intolerant) DPD will leave your parcel a safe place or with a neighbour. If you have a preferred safe place just let us know when you order (in order notes) or call /email us PLUS you can download the DPD App
How does my food stay frozen during transportation?
We keep your order frozen with superb insulated boxes. The cardboard boxes are lined with recyclable Wool or Feathers that not only insulate they absorb moisture too. We then add dry ice slices or specialised gel packs which keep your order frozen until you open the box when delivered. Our insulated packaging is made from excess sheep’s wool or surplus feathers, it’s absorbent, recyclable & re-useable. Our customers even re-use it in their gardens for hanging baskets / potted plants, for draft excluders & even for birds nesting or pet beds.
Can I choose my delivery day?
Yes, you can tell us your preferred delivery day. Just add a note to your order in “order notes” or call / email us once you have ordered. You can pick any day Tuesday- Friday (we can’t deliver on Mondays as the courier does not collect on a Sunday). We can also arrange a delivery for Saturday, you can pick this option when you order, Saturday delivery is just £5 when you spend over £60
Can I cook your products from frozen?
In most cases yes, our products are sourced with quality & convenience in mind. So where possible our food can be cooked from frozen, perfect for quick, easy meals. All the products come with cooking instructions and recommended methods of cooking….
I suffer from allergic reactions to certain foods. How can I check to make sure they’re not present in your products?
All our products have a list of ingredients on the labels. Should you have any concerns before or after your purchase you can call us on 01942 609647 where one of our team will be happy to assist.
Where is your fish sourced from?
We have a wide variety of fish so we source from all over the world. We make sure we buy from responsible sources with sustainability in mind. For that reason, we have a variety of wild-caught and farmed fish. You will find this information on the labels & website but should you wish to know more just call us on 01942 609647.
Can I buy fresh fish from you as opposed to frozen?
We believe that our “frozen” fish is the freshest fish you can buy. In many cases, our fish is frozen within hours of the catch. “Fresh” fish sold on a counter can be several days old by the time it reaches the consumer. For this reason, all our products are frozen. * We have many customers who buy our ‘frozen at sea’ fish because they suffer from Histamine intolerance. Sufferers need to eat food at it’s freshest as Histamine develops in food from the time it has been harvested. *
Can I arrange a delivery to a different address?
Yes, you can. As long as your billing address matches the address of your credit card you can arrange to have the food delivered anywhere in the UK mainland. Just add your billing address AND your preferred delivery address when ordering.
I live in the UK but not on the mainland, can I still get a delivery.
We regret we cannot deliver to the Scottish Highlands or Islands but we can deliver to the Isle of Wight. We are working towards being able to o deliver to the Scottish Highlands in the future. Ifd in doubt please give us a call on 01942 609647 to find out about your particular case.

Do you sell frozen vegetables?
Does your use of dry ice put extra carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere?
No. Dry Ice is solid Carbon Dioxide but this has been captured from natural sources preventing the CO2 from entering the atmosphere in the first instance. So although the CO2 does eventually enter the atmosphere it isn’t extra, it’s just delayed. We also use specialised Gel packs that freeze at -35 and have a holding temperature of -21c.
