Salmon Fillets Centre Cuts 4 x 140-170g


All Seafresh Salmon Fillets are centre cut fillets, meaning that you get the thick part of the fish, not the tail. They are SKINLESS and BONELESS fillets . The most sustainable way to source salmon is by farming. Farming has changed a great deal, there are no antibiotics, no colours, no preservatives, just wonderful sustainable salmon. Lots of wild salmon is endangered. For example, a do not fish order is on on Wild Atlantic Salmon. We use the Goodfish guide from the MCS (Marine Conservation Society) a superb guide to source responsibly. Some wild salmon is OK to fish such as wild sockeye salmon. so we have both choices available to you. Salmon portions are frozen very quickly & very cold which makes them great for histamine intolerance ( wild salmon can be 2-3 days until frozen). The price of Salmon is rising these days but we want to keep the same great quality rather than look elsewhere for a cheaper, inferior product. How to Cook Frozen Salmon

We recommend oven baking to cook frozen Salmon, whether it be Salmon Fillets or Marinated Salmon, oven baking is quick and easy. Simply make a foil lose parcel (or use an oven proof dish) place the Salmon on the foil, add a little butter, lemon juice and salt & pepper. Crease the foil into a parcel shape, so no steam can escape then bake for 25 -30 mins from frozen at 180c/190c depending on your oven. If you prefer to defrost the Salmon, reduce the cooking time by about 10 minutes. You can also microwave the Salmon, keep it in the vacuum packs and place on a microwaveable plate. Microwave for app. 3 mins or until the Salmon is cooked though. If the Salmon is opaque in the centre then it needs a little longer. Ovens do vary so if it’s not right add /reduce a minute of cooking time.
